It sure feels like Denali has been out more this winter. I am drawn to that mountain and feel blessed every single time I get to see her. We live in a magical place. By the way, Denali is about 160 miles from our house where I shot this from the front deck. Yes, she is big!

You asked for it. People (Devany in particular) have been bugging me for quite a while--okay, for years--to get a website up so they can see my photos in a larger format. So here goes. One of the frustrations I've had is that it's virtually impossible to convey how absolutely spectacular Alaska is on Facebook. I really do get a kick out of sharing my photography with you and I hope you'll be able to experience Alaska-and wherever else our travels take us- through these much larger pictures in higher resolution. And yes, I do hope you'll see an image that you absolutely fall in love with and just have to have. I will be selling prints once I get this thing up and running, because all the cool lenses I REALLY want aren't cheap :) Come along for the ride!
We spent the weekend before Christmas in Talkeetna at the Susitna River Lodge in one of their cool little cabins. Were able to finally do some cross-country skiing, had great pizza at Mountain High PIzza Pie, our favorite breakfast in Alaska at the Talkeetna Roadhouse and had 2 nights of very good aurora. Devany even came out with me on Saturday night and got to see what the fun is all about.
