Today's Photo. Turnagain Arm B&W
The view down Turnagain Arm towards the Kenai Mountains today. Nice dramatic light and clouds over the ridgeline.

Spent another night hoping for the strong aurora that was predicted. All my Aurora Alert apps were going off starting around 7pm. They had a very strong display around Fairbanks, but here in Anchorage we suffered through another night of clouds and just a hint of color. I gave up at 1am.

It sure feels like Denali has been out more this winter. I am drawn to that mountain and feel blessed every single time I get to see her. We live in a magical place. By the way, Denali is about 160 miles from our house where I shot this from the front deck. Yes, she is big!

You asked for it. People (Devany in particular) have been bugging me for quite a while--okay, for years--to get a website up so they can see my photos in a larger format. So here goes. One of the frustrations I've had is that it's virtually impossible to convey how absolutely spectacular Alaska is on Facebook. I really do get a kick out of sharing my photography with you and I hope you'll be able to experience Alaska-and wherever else our travels take us- through these much larger pictures in higher resolution. And yes, I do hope you'll see an image that you absolutely fall in love with and just have to have. I will be selling prints once I get this thing up and running, because all the cool lenses I REALLY want aren't cheap :) Come along for the ride!
