Today's Photo. We made it through another one :)

February 15, 2016 by Chuck Berray

For the first time in several months, the sun has climbed high enough above the Chugach Mountains behind the house to hit the house directly for awhile through a notch in the ridge.  The sunlight streaming through the office window feels wonderful.  Winter's not over, but it sure is starting to feel like it today.

Glorious sun!

The view down Turnagain Arm towards the Kenai Mountains today.  Nice dramatic light and clouds over the ridgeline.

Today's photo. Another night of teasing Aurora.

February 08, 2016 by Chuck Berray

Spent another night hoping for the strong aurora that was predicted.  All my Aurora Alert apps were going off starting around 7pm.  They had a very strong display around Fairbanks, but here in Anchorage we suffered through another night of clouds and just a hint of color.  I gave up at 1am.

Another Denali Sunrise

February 07, 2016 by Chuck Berray

It sure feels like Denali has been out more this winter.  I am drawn to that mountain and feel blessed every single time I get to see her.   We live in a magical place.   By the way, Denali is about 160 miles from our house where I shot this from the front deck.  Yes, she is big!
