The hare population cycle sure is on the rise. We've got 4 or 5 in the yard at the same time on most days. Now we just have to wait patiently for the lynx population to come back. I can't help thinking that these last two mild, snowless winters should have been very easy for the animals and we'll see healthy population increases for most species.
A nice, dramatic, really active sky tonight over Sleeping Lady around 9pm. Lots of light and shadow.
My favorite way to start the day.
A Steller's Jay paid a visit to the yard this afternoon. Their color is amazing.
Almost 10pm and the sun is just setting. It feels like everything has turned green overnight. It's a good time of the year.
