Sunday stroll around Bear Valley
A Perfect afternoon to hike the 5 mile loop around Bear Valley. Evidently a bear killed a moose calf yesterday a couple of streets down from our house, but I didn't see it. Did see a lot of moose and wildflowers.

It has turned into a gorgeous evening, and Denali is lurking on the horizon--trying to hide in the bright sky. So nice to see her again after a couple of rainy days.

The longest day of the year, 19h21min of daylight here in Anchorage, has turned into an absolutely gorgeous evening.
Alaska at its best tonight. A beautiful sky to celebrate the Summer Solstice.
My wife, Devany, grabbed this shot with her phone last night around 10:15pm while driving home from the airport. A really big, healthy looking lynx, casually strolling along the side of the road and squinting in the bright sun. I sure wish she had had my good camera! They're a rare sighting.
