How appropriate that we have our first snow of the season on the Autumnal Equinox.  The high peaks and ridges behind the house are turning white right on schedule.  Hopefully it's a sign for better things to come this winter--we haven't had decent snow for 3 years.

Rising above the fog.

One of the benefits to living on the side of the Chugach Mountains is that there are many mornings like this when the Anchorage bowl is smothered in fog while we get to see Denali and the sun.
