Whoa! Hello there.
It's always fun to walk downstairs, look out the window next to the front door, and have Mama Moose staring back at you about 3 feet away :) She and her baby have been hanging around all summer and are looking good.
The cycle.
The sunset last night; the sunrise this morning. Bathed in dramatic light. Not a bad way to end the day and start a new one.

Sunrise at 8am. The entire hillside was glowing in deep orange.
Still no whales to be found.
We spent another long weekend in Seward hoping the whales would finally be up in Resurrection Bay, but once again, there were none to be seen. Gorgeous weather, but it's getting cold enough at night that we might have to call it a season for the motorhome. Frozen water pipes are no fun.

Winter's coming.
The snowshoe hares are starting to turn. Feet first, then ears, then nose. It's fun to watch the progression every day.
