Geez, another big Bull Moose was in the yard late this afternoon. It’s a different one than the big guy that was here yesterday. I wonder if those two have been sparring as the guy today has a broken tine on his right antler. This is why we look both ways before we go out the front door!

The Moose rutting season is in full swing. This BIG bull stood under our bedroom window last night for awhile, grunting and calling to any nearby cows. Fascinating to hear him vocalize.
Late in the afternoon Mama was finally reunited with her twins. They somehow got separated for the past week or so and she’s been very agitated around the neighborhood. Now it’s all good and they’re snacking and napping in the backyard.
Mama Moose has been hanging out around the house for the past week. I think she knows she’s safe here.

It’s so good to be able to shoot Aurora again. We had a pretty nice display that started around 10pm last night, but that didn’t last long at all. Then at 3:30am this morning she came back and was really active and put on quite a show until just after 4am. It was short and sweet.
