The weather has been so warm that we decided to take a chance and head to Seward for one last weekend of this motorhome season. Rain on Saturday morning turned into a glorious afternoon with dramatic/contrasty light on the mountains across Resurrection Bay. Fun day to shoot. Saturday night was strong winds and rain. Sunday it started to snow heavily as we drove home over Turnagain Pass. Timing is everything. Home safe and sound and spent the rest of the day winterizing the motorhome.
The Snowshoe Hare that lives in our yard needs to slow down! There’s no snow in the forecast anytime soon. Heck, it was 55º in Anchorage yesterday. His camouflage isn’t working so well right now.
Another fall storm blowing through with high winds and rain that is turning to snow on the higher ridges of the Chugach Mountains behind the house.
The days may be getting shorter, but Denali still puts on a gorgeous show at sunset.
