We’ve spent the last 18 days exploring parts of Scotland. We rented a canal boat in Inverness and traveled the Great Glen down the series of Lochs (lakes) and canals to Fort William and back, then took the train across the Highlands to Thurso, the furthest north village on the British mainland for a quick visit. Then it was on to Edinburgh for a couple of days. Come along for the ride.
That’ll teach me to take the snow tires off before May 1st! More than 20” of snow here in Bear Valley over the past 3 days. This afternoon, absolutely gorgeous blue skies.
Spring decided to take its own break! We’ve got 9” of snow on the ground and it’s still coming down.
The snowshoe hares are changing fast now that the snow is gone and it’s warming up rapidly.
I love Paris. I’ve been lucky enough to be there many times over the years for both work and play, so the devastating fire at Notre Dame today was absolutely heartbreaking. I hope it will be rebuilt—maybe in my lifetime so I can go back for one more visit. Here are a couple of images from past visits.
