An absolutely gorgeous sunset this afternoon bathing the Chugach Mountains in Alpenglow. We’re a month from the Winter Solstice so the days are getting much shorter.

The snow-level on Sleeping Lady across the Cook Inlet from Anchorage. She should be completely encased in snow by this time of year. We still don’t have any snow on the ground here in Bear Valley. Cross-country skis are sulking in the garage.

It’s rainy and windy up here in Bear Valley and we still don’t have any snow on the ground, but the Alaska Range is shining on the horizon 150 miles away, so it’s going to be a Happy Halloween.
