It is absolutely gorgeous outside late this afternoon. Big fat flakes fallings, not a breath of wind. Magical.

Saw a bit of color at 1:30am. It’s been a terrible winter so far for seeing any aurora here in Anchorage, in fact I’ve only seen it 3 times, so we take what we can get. It clouded up pretty quickly, so didn’t get anything very exciting, but even a little is magical.
Sunset and Sleeping Lady at 7pm. It feels like we’ve made it through another winter—one that actually felt like one of the true Alaska winters of old. Cold and lots of snow since the first of the year, but we’re gaining almost 6 minutes of daylight a day and honestly, this might be our favorite time of year here in Alaska. It’s just beautiful.
