Boo-boo is back.
We had our first visitor of the Spring this morning in the yard. This is a 2-year-old cinnamon black-bear cub that we’ve watched grow up here in Bear Valley. Mama bear might be having new babies this year.

Had a little show early this morning. Shot this around 1:30am. Even managed to catch a small falling star. It was a beautiful night. I stayed outside from 1-3am, but this was about as good as it got.

The days are getting longer so quickly, it seems. 9:45pm tonight overlooking downtown Anchorage and the Cook Inlet with the Alaska Range mountains in the distance.

There have been several Bald Eagles flying around the house early this afternoon. I wonder if it’s mating season for them, or if they’re just out enjoying a sunny day. Backlit by the sun, it almost looks transparent.
