Best of the season so far.
Finally got to see a pretty decent aurora display last night in Bear Valley around 9pm. It didn’t last long, but the aurora has been few and far between for us the past couple of years.

A lot of Pine Grosbeaks in the yard today. This female was trying out a feeder they normally don’t use.

The aurora forecast for last night was looking very good for a strong display. Finally around midnight she started to light up for us here in Anchorage, and there were a couple of strong bands until around 1:30am. Sadly, she never climbed very high off the horizon from here in Bear Valley, but the past two winters have been so bad for aurora here, that we’ll take whatever we can get. It’s always so much fun to see them.
