The two-year old Cinnamon colored black bear made a short visit to the bog pond below the house tonight.

An amazing trip to Denali. Maybe Top 10.
It’s our favorite place on earth, so we try to go to Denali at least 3-5 times each summer, and have been doing so for the past 11 years, spending 12-25 days there. This past week turned out to be one of our best. Denali was out while we drove up on Sunday night. We headed into the Teklanika campground on Monday and after getting set up we managed to catch a late shuttle bus, put the bikes on the rack, and off we went. Come along with us! Baby Moose in the yard!
Love it when I hear that shout from Devany. Just at dinner time with amazing light on Mom and baby. We hit the trifecta of animals today, two different bears and moose. Alaska at its best. Click on images for full-screen.
Back for another visit.
Mama bear brought the cubs back for another visit to the backyard this morning. It was raining and overcast, dark for photography, so never did get a decent shot of the cubs in the trees before they left.
