Another hot day, another bog-pond visitor.
Anchorage set a daily record high temperature of 80º today. Tonight we had a cow moose come by the bog-pond below the house at 10pm for a nice long, cool drink.

It’s our favorite place on earth, so we try to go to Denali at least 3-5 times each summer, and have been doing so for the past 11 years, spending 12-25 days there. This past week turned out to be one of our best. Denali was out while we drove up on Sunday night. We headed into the Teklanika campground on Monday and after getting set up we managed to catch a late shuttle bus, put the bikes on the rack, and off we went. Come along with us! As usual, far-far too many pictures, but it was a heck of a trip. Click through the pictures and the captions will tell the story. Hope you enjoy.
10:20pm with rain showers and dramatic light. Not a bad way to end the day.

Love it when I hear that shout from Devany. Just at dinner time with amazing light on Mom and baby. We hit the trifecta of animals today, two different bears and moose. Alaska at its best. Click on images for full-screen.
