A welcome visitor
We haven’t seen a Steller’s Jay up here at the house for well over a year, so it was great to have this one come by for breakfast on another rainy day in Bear Valley.

Momma Moose left her baby hidden in the bushes at the top of the driveway tonight and walked right past me so she could get a drink in the pond below the house.

Cuteness overload.
Momma Moose & Baby came by the yard last night to trim the fireweed and the alders. They stayed for quite a while. The baby is looking very healthy and getting big enough that her rust-colored baby hair is starting to turn dark brown like Mom. Baby even did a little hill-climbing next to the house ;)
