It’s always great to have Devany shout from her office downstairs “There’s a lynx in the backyard”! I grabbed the camera and managed a couple of shots of it next to the house and in the trees below us. When I turned around I realized there was another, bigger, lynx sitting at the top of our driveway. The smaller (I’m guessing a female) joined it and they headed up our neighbors drive. They are such a rare treat to see.
Had a yearling bull moose come visit this morning. He’s still got a ways to go before it gets easier to get at food because there’s so much snow on the ground up here. That’s the edge of our driveway behind him, so it’s going to be a while before it melts.

This place is just absolutely gorgeous when the sky is blue and there’s fresh snow on the mountains. I’m down working on the boat again and took a break to walk around the prettiest harbor in America—at least I think so. Everyone is getting itchy for spring!
A very welcome visitor late this afternoon. The first time we’ve had Mama Moose in the yard this winter. She’s looking pretty good considering how incredibly tough the winter has been on them with all the snow making it hard for them to get at food.
