This Goldeneye has been hanging around the boat all afternoon while I’ve been working on it.
We’re just back from a nice break at Pacific Beach in San Diego, and our timing was perfect. Record cold in Alaska and below zero temperatures in Anchorage the entire week we were gone, but back to +30º the day after we got back. It was nice to get some sun, see some color and do a lot of walking along the beaches—plus great hole-in-the-wall fish tacos! There was terrible flooding around Los Angeles the day we left and San Diego was expecting it today (Monday). Here’s a photo dump of the trip. Click on the images, then cursor over for commentary. Now it’s time to do a lot of snowblowing ;)
The full moon rising over the Chugach Mountains across the bay from the Seward small boat harbor late this afternoon. It’s clear and cold!
It’s gorgeous this afternoon.
