Back where it belongs!
We moved No Reservations from the engine shop back to the small boat harbor in Seward on Monday. Safely back in her slip and hoping to get a lot more use out of her this season than last. Just have to be patient breaking in the new engine.
The long days are beginning.

How do you get an engine out of a boat?
I’ve been working on a big project the last couple of weeks. We blew an engine in our boat, so had to haul it out of the water and get it to the crazy-busy shop that could do the swap. The scary part is that the engine had to come out of the window on the side of the boat, that’s the only opening that was big enough. Thankfully, it went great. Engine out, a complete rebuild, and back into place, all without a single scratch.

Hanging out under the backyard spruce trees today, sheltered from the falling snow. Just beginning to see a bit of brown hair under the white. Maybe Spring is slowly coming our way.
