Spring is definitely here, although late.
Our resident snowshoe hare has just about turned completely brown. It feels like we’re a couple of weeks late greening up up here in Bear Valley compared to most years.

I walked out of the garage to find this big old porcupine nibbling on the fresh green grass right at the edge of the house. I grabbed the camera and watched as he slowly made his way down the bank next to the house. Love watching these gentle creatures.
Always wonderful to wake up to Denali showing on the horizon.

We’ll get to see gorgeous sunsets for the next several months, now that the sun is setting directly to the west of us. It will move far to the north (left to right) over the summer. 10:05pm, Tuesday, April 30th.
