The sky is on fire tonight, and it's gorgeous.
Another week or so and the sun will finally be setting far enough North to get beyond the trees. Hopefully this is a preview of the strong Aurora we're supposed to have tonight.

The view of Denali tonight.
Absolutely never get tired of being greeted by Denali in the morning when we wake up and take that first look out the window.
Spotted this big one across the valley, lying in the sun on a lazy Sunday morning. Another really mild, record-breaking, winter with almost no snow, so the moose population should be really healthy. This is the third winter in a row that has been easy on them.
Looking out the front window towards Anchorage at 8pm, there's not a cloud in the sky and it's going to be a gorgeous sunset--but behind the house is a wall of cloud sitting on the ridge of the Chugach Mountains and the wind driven snow is making it all the way to the house. Gorgeous with the backlit sun, but it needs to clear up because we're supposed to have very strong aurora tonight.
