The show tonight over Bear Valley. Just a tiny bit of ice haze in the sky, but she looks pretty good.
November 18th, and it’s +48ºf with no snow anywhere in sight here in Bear Valley. Our little yard buddy is confused.
Lovely pastel alpenglow lighting up the clouds above Sleeping Lady as the sun begins to set.
The light this afternoon looking across Turnagain Arm to the Kenai Peninsula was just fantastic.
The first time I’ve been able to shoot Aurora in Anchorage since the middle of September. We’ve been getting skunked by clouds while the folks in Fairbanks have had some great shows. Last night we finally had perfectly clear skies and a show that started at 9pm and went until 4am this morning, when I finally had to get some sleep. What a fun night!
