Other than blowing focus on the entire event—and forgetting to charge all my extra camera batteries, so I kinda missed the entire second half of the show, it was a fun—and COLD—night to shoot this rare event.
Super Blood Wolf Moon Eclipse
Fun to watch the full eclipse during a blood moon. Unfortunately, a very thin, high layer of clouds moved in just at it was getting great, so not terrific focus.
Prelude to the Blood Moon Eclipse.
The moon getting ready to set behind Anchorage at 8:20am this morning. Keeping our fingers crossed for clear skies tomorrow night so we can see the blood moon total eclipse. Weather forecast doesn’t look great, though.

Our cold-spell of a couple of weeks has broken and it’s absolutely gorgeous outside. The Alaska Range is shining on the horizon.
