A bit of a display early this morning between 12:30am and 2am. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of haze in the air or this would have been the strongest display of the season for me here in Bear Valley. The aurora has been few and far between this season, so any time we get to see them in Anchorage is a gift.
The grocery boat passing Point Woronzoff and Ted Stevens International Airport on its way into the Port of Anchorage during a beautiful sunset tonight at 8:30pm local time.

It’s time for Iditarod! The ceremonial start was held in Anchorage this morning, and for a change we had plenty of snow and perfect temps. We decided to skip the huge crowds at the start line on 4th Ave., and instead hung out along Chester Creek and at the infamous Cordova Hill. Lots of fun for everyone. As usual, way too many pictures.
