Dramatic sunsets again due to smoke
Earlier in the summer it was smoke from wildfires burning in Siberia, now it’s fires burning in the Yukon and drifting into Alaska. We’ve been having some amazing sunsets lately.
Time for a drink.
Back to the bog-pond at 9:45pm tonight for a nice long drink. This cow has been hanging right around the neighborhood for a couple of weeks now. It’s always a treat to see her around the house.

COY comes to visit. Cub of the Year.
The Cinnamon sow came by this afternoon with her two cubs for a visit. The cubs are so stinking cute! This is the male cub.

Another hot day, another bog-pond visitor.
Anchorage set a daily record high temperature of 80º today. Tonight we had a cow moose come by the bog-pond below the house at 10pm for a nice long, cool drink.
