Iditarod 2024 Start. Who's a good boy?
We drove out to Willow for the official start of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race on Sunday. Our friends on Long Lake always throw an Iditarod start party, and we had a blast. The temperature warmed up nicely throughout the afternoon. It’s always fun to see these dogs that absolutely love to run! Way too many pictures as usual. A bluebird day for backcountry skiing.
8" of fluffy new snow overnight, so they're skiing the bowls behind the house on the Chugach Mountains. 3 people and their dog climbing back up after a run on the left side of the frame. Working for it!
