A porky visitor this afternoon.
I walked out of the garage to find this big old porcupine nibbling on the fresh green grass right at the edge of the house. I grabbed the camera and watched as he slowly made his way down the bank next to the house. Love watching these gentle creatures.

Sunset season is upon us.
We’ll get to see gorgeous sunsets for the next several months, now that the sun is setting directly to the west of us. It will move far to the north (left to right) over the summer. 10:05pm, Tuesday, April 30th.

A survivor in the yard today.
So great to have a moose in the yard this afternoon. It’s been a horrible winter for the moose, with almost all-time record-breaking snow. It’s still hard for them to access food up here on the hillside, so especially nice to see this one in the neighborhood.
