First motorhome trip of the year!

We've officially declared that it is Spring, which means it's time to get the motorhome out on the road.  We headed down to Williwaw campground on Thursday night, then to Seward and had a blast.  Saw our first whale of the year cruising up Ressurection Bay , Dall's Porpoises , Sea Otters and lots of migrating seabirds.

We love Seward in the off-season before it's overrun by tourists.  We had the place almost to ourselves--right up until the guy in the huge motorhome just had to park right next to us when they pulled in late on Friday night.  Some people...

Kenai Fjords tour boat heading out to find migrating Gray Whales on Friday afternoon.

Eagle's everywhere along the shoreline.

Cormorant drying his wings on the old dock pilings.  These are leftover from the 1964 earthquake and tsunami that really hammered Seward.

Time to get those sails up!  And time for us to head to Ptarmigan Campground for Saturday night.

Spring is full bloom at Ptarmigan Campground on Saturday evening.

Just love the iridescent green of spring buds.

One incredibly happy dog.  We stopped on the way home at the top of Turnagain Pass, so that Xena could play in the snow one more time.
